A HOSPITAL hit by the winter vomiting bug has been slammed for its “lack of cleanliness” by an MSP.
Deputy Presiding Officer Elaine Smith will raise questions at Holyrood about the norovirus outbreak at Monklands hospital.Monklands treats patients from the Labour politician’s Coatbridge and Chryston constituency. Up to 100 patients and more than 20 members of staff there have been taken ill and non-emergency operations postponed. Smith said: “I am extremely alarmed by this situation at the main hospital serving my constituents.
