Education chiefs confirmed a pupil from Dalry Primary School had been stricken by norovirus and five other children and a teacher have also been sent home as a precaution.
Headteacher Sally Barker: “We are getting to the end of term, everyone is tired and the central heating is on.
“We sent a letter home as a precaution after the first child was confirmed to have norovirus. Another school near by has been hit quite hard by it.
